COTW #18 - Double Rebozo Shoulder To Shoulder (DRS2S)

by Aline Kelly

Double Rebozo Shoulder to Shoulder (DRS2S or R2D2) is a back carry tied with a woven wrap. It includes two rebozo passes, hence the name, and a chest belt.

DRS2S is a good wiggleproof toddler carry. It can be finished in a variety of ways, and can be wrapped with a variety of wrap sizes.

General description: The carry begins with a longer tail over one shoulder and the shorter tail under the opposite arm. Once you have established a secure seat, tie a single half knot at the chest. The long tail should now be at the opposite shoulder. Bring the long tail over this shoulder, spread across the baby's back and bum, and under the opposite arm. Tuck this tail up and over through the existing chest belt and tighten. Depending on your wrap length, you can either leave the carry like this as a secure knotless finish, tie under bum, or do leg passes and tie in front.
